2011 CIAA Women’s Bowling Championship Schedule

The CIAA Conference Bowling Championship will consist of a three day event. It will include all teams from both North and South divisions. The championship will be based on seed positions as determined by regular season finish with the top North playing the bottom South up and Top South playing bottom North up.

There  are three formats that will be used to decide the 2011 champion:  Format # 1 – Team Play total pins, Format # 2 – Total Pins Baker and Format # 3 – Best 4 out of 7 Baker games.  The top eight teams are selected for bracket play double elimination based on total pin count from team games and baker total pins.

Per NCAA rules and regulations, there can only be a maximum of 6 rounds per day.  Currently with 13 teams, if one team received a bye, and every team bowled against each other, competition would require 7 rounds, which we are not allowed to do. Therefore, to reach 6 rounds the same seeds across division (1N vs 1S, 2N vs 2S etc.) will not roll against each other in team competition.

Please note that advancement is based on total pins, which means you are actually bowling everyone.
