CIAA-SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTORS' ASSOCIATION ELECTS OFFICERS FOR 2005-07

CHARLOTTE, NC - July 18, 2005 - After two days of meetings at their annual summer workshop held in Charlotte, NC, members of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association-Sports Information Directors' Association elected officers to comprise the association's Executive Council.

April Emory of Elizabeth City State University was voted as the new CIAA-SIDA President after serving four years as Vice President. Kristene Kelly of Johnson C. Smith University, the recipient of the 2005 John Holley Award as the CIAA Sports Information Director of the Year, was selected as the association's Vice President. Kyle Serba of North Carolina Central University was reappointed as Secretary. Shera White of the CIAA was designated the association's Treasurer.

The elected officers will complete two-year terms, and can not serve more than two consecutive terms in the same position.
