university and football program they both admire and love.
The General Feature of the Year reflected the impact three Broncos
football players had in speaking to a group of elementary students
in November.
Podlogar also won two district awards, both of which came from
articles written about the Broncos men’s basketball program.
Podlogar’s long-form feature on Fayetteville State
men’s basketball assistant coach Vernal “Jay”
Maynard earn recognition for District 3's Coach/Administrator
Profile/Historical Feature. Also, Podlogar’s game story from
Fayetteville State’s season-opening basketball victory over
Barber-Scotia garnered honors for District 3's top entry in Event
Coverage.
