    RALEIGH, NC ? Winston-Salem State University junior forward William Crandell was recognized after a great season when he earned a spot on the BOXTOROW 10th Annual Division II All-American Team. He took the honor after another tremendous season with the Rams.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC ? The Winston-Salem State Rams (10-24, 8-7 CIAA) celebrated Senior Day with the best performance of the season from freshman pitcher Tia Robinson. The WSSU pitcher threw a perfect game to lead the Rams to a 10-0 win over the Livingstone College Blue Bears (2-23, 0-14 CIAA), Monday morning.

The win ends a three-game skid by the Rams and gave the team a key Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) victory.

The loss ended the Rams? season, but the team gave a tremendous effort and capped a great season.

The Rams took the win behind a great performance in the match.

The win marked a third straight regular season with a winning record for the Rams and provided a great send off as the team recognized its 2018 seniors.

Smith Golden Bulls (7-15, 5-7 CIAA). The game was a high-scoring affair, but the Rams could not keep up with the hot hitting of the Golden Bulls.

Smith Golden Bulls (6-15, 4-7 CIAA). The Rams turned in one of their best overall performances of the season with one of their best offensive performances combined with one of their top defensive performances of the season.

The Rams held a late lead, but a late rally by the Broncos gave the Rams the tough loss.

The Winston-Salem State University softball team was rewarded for a great week when the team brought home four weekly honors from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), Wednesday. WSSU sophomore Erica Davis was named the CIAA Pitcher of the Week while freshman outfielder Nyla Howard was named the CIAA Offensive Player of the Week while junior infielder Daijah Chambers was named the CIAA Defensive Player of the Week. Head coach LaTaya Hilliard-Gray rounded out the week when she was named the CIAA Softball Coach of the Week.
