CIAA Officials Mourn the Death of One of Their Own

Members of the CIAA Football Officials mourn the death of one of
their officials. Dejohn Napper died of an apparent heart
attack last Saturday (August 12, 2006) after he officiated a
semi-pro football game at Reid Ross Classical High School's John
Daskal Stadium.
DeJohn officiated football with the Sandhills Board of Officials
for the past three years. He also was the clock operator for
Fayetteville State University Home basketball games for the past
five years. He also was the clock operator at the CIAA
Basketball Tournament for the past four tournaments. He also was a
member of the high school, Southeastern Athletic Officials
Association (SAOA).
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 12:30 p.m.,
at the Wiseman Mortuary INC, 431 Cumberland Street in Fayetteville,
NC 28301. Burial will be at the Sandhills Veterans
Cemetery.
