Lady Bears Volleyball and Softball Team in the Community

 
Raleigh, NC – (October 24, 2006) This year was no different from any other year for the Ladies on the Shaw University Volleyball and Softball teams. under the direction of Head Coach Laura T. Aker who is in her 3rd year at the helm as head Volleyball coach.

Coach Aker, Coach Thomas, and the Lady Volleyball team are currently 3rd in the CIAA Eastern Division.

As Coach has done so many times before she took her teams [Volleyball and Softball] to Carolina Pines Community Center were they did community service. The Lady Bears aided the community center with their annual Halloween Carnival.  

“I really enjoy taking the time out to work with those in the community; I see it as our [Lady Bears Volleyball & Softball Teams] way of giving back,” said Coach Aker.  

The Lady Bears Volleyball team takes on the Vikings of Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 6:00 p.m.
