Livingstone College announces hiring of additional athletic staff

Salisbury, NC – Livingstone College has announced the hiring
of new administrative staff in the Athletic Department.
Patrice Gilliam has been named Assistant Athletic
Director of Compliance and Senior Woman Administrator. Ms. Gilliam
is a graduate of Kentucky State University with a BA in English and
Virginia State University with a M.Ed in Educational Media. She
also has an M.S.S in Sports Management from US Sports Academy. She
has most recently been an instructor at Virginia State University,
in Petersburg, VA, in the Sports Administration Department. Her
career is highlighted with a variety of roles in athletic
departments throughout the CIAA including stops at Fayetteville
State University, Hampton University and St. Augustine's
College.
Andrew Harvey has been named Sports Information
Director. Mr. Harvey is a graduate of Virginia State University and
worked most recently as a football coach on the Virginia Union
University. He has also been an assistant SID at Greensboro College
in Greensboro, NC
Beverly Love has been named Cheerleading Coach.
Mrs. Love most recently coached the cheerleading squad at Barber
Scotia College, in Concord, NC.
“I believe we have some very good people in place to make
Livingstone College Athletics an outstanding Athletic Department,"
said athletics director Lamonte Massie. "We have new energy and
people that see the glass three quarters full. It takes time to
turn this ship in the direction we want it to go, but I believe we
have the right staff members in place that support our vision of
where we want to take LC Athletics.”
