VUU's Bailey named to board of Div II Athletic Directors Association

CLEVELAND -- The members of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) have chosen a new set of officers to serve the Association for the next two years (2010-11, 2011-12). Greg Waggoner, director of athletics at Western State College of Colorado, will serve as President of the Association for the next two years.
In addition to Waggoner, the following directors of athletics were selected as DII ADA officers: 1st Vice President Anita Barker, director of athletics at Chico State; 2nd Vice President/Treasurer Eric Schoh, director of athletics at Wayne State College; and 3rd Vice President/Secretary Fran Reidy, director of athletics at St. Leo University.
“Our Association has made tremendous strides over the past few years and I am proud to be serving as the President for the next two years,” stated Waggoner. “Our Association will continue to be at the forefront of spreading the word on Division II initiatives and its focus on the overall student-athlete experience, which provides growth opportunities through academics, athletics competition and community service.”
In addition to the officers, the following directors of athletics will serve on the Board of Directors – Michael Bailey, Virginia Union University; Jack Bishop, Central Washington University; Susan Cassidy-Lyke, Molloy College; Carlton Cooper, Texas A&M University Commerce; Mark Corino, Caldwell College; Earl Edwards, UC San Diego; Ryan Erwin, Dallas Baptist University; Gary Hall, Barton College; Jim Herlihy, University of Montevallo; Dexter Irvin, University of Hawaii-Hilo; Tamica Jones, Clark Atlanta University; Mark Linder, University of North Alabama; Roger Maisner, Mansfield University; Immediate Past President Ed Matejkovic, West Chester University; Joan McDermott, Metropolitan State College of Denver; Pennie Parker, Rollins College; Joseph Polak, Southern New Hampshire University; Tom Rubbelke, Concordia University St. Paul; Pat Thomas, University of the District of Columbia; Scott Wiegandt, Bellarmine University; Past President Dave Williams, Missouri Western State University; and Karl Wolf, Shepherd University.
