March 6, 2011

Charlotte, NC .......With the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) making its way to the Charlotte, NC area for the fifth consecutive year, resident and businesses and sports fans alike gear up to support one of the oldest historically athletic conferences in the southeastern United States.

For Tia Bullett, owner of TMB Marketing Firm and a product of a CIAA School, it was important to support not only the growth and revenue for the city of Charlotte, but to promote continued education of students wishing to attend schools within the CIAA.

She was one of many event planners and party promoters that held an event at one of the various venues within the city.

The goal for TMB Marketing Firm was to donate a portion of the event proceeds to the CIAA Scholarship Fund, so that deserving students would be afforded the opportunity to continue their education.

Bullett, a new self-made business owner donated $1,000.00 to the fund.  She states that “as an Alumni of Virginia State University, I was afforded the financial opportunity to attend one of the finest universities within the CIAA.  I hope that this donation will challenge others to assist in supporting college students in pursuing their dream of obtaining a college degree.”

TMB Marketing firm hopes to maintain an ongoing relationship with the CIAA, so that the amount of the donation will grow each year just as the support and the attendance of the tournament does.
