CIAA’s Smith Appointed to Sport Foundation Board

Hampton, VA… Monique “Toni” Smith, Associate
Commissioner and Senior Woman Administrator for the Central
Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), has been appointed to
a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the
Black Women in Sport Foundation (BWSF) . Smith enters her
11th year with the historically black athletic conference.
The BWSF is one of the preeminent organizations in the country
focusing on the issues germane to African- American women and girls
in sports and fitness and is composed of leaders both on and off
the field within the sports and fitness industry.
Dr. Tina Sloan-Green, CEO, says “Toni’s
extensive experience and talents will complement the chemistry of
the current Board and will assist in advancing the goals of the
BWSF of advancing women in the profession.”
