Fayetteville State University and Bowie State University Claim Divisional Bowling Titles

Hampton, VA...The Fayetteville State University Lady Broncos clinched the Western Divisional Bowling Title this season, with a whopping 55-2 CIAA and 60-2 Overall record.  Having led all conference statistical categories, the Lady Broncos enter the CIAA Bowling Championship next weekend with an advantage as the #1 seed for the West.
 
Bowie State University, claiming their title by way of a tie-breaker with Elizabeth City State University, will enter the tournament as the #1 seed for the East. The Lady Bulldogs finished the regular season with an identical 43-11 CIAA record with ECSU and a 52-11 record Overall.  BSU pulled ahead of ECSU in a tie-breaker matching total pins versus conference teams.
 
The CIAA Women's Bowling Championship will be held in Durham, North Carolina at the Durham AMF Lanes- March 20-22, 2010.
 
All-Conference honors have also been given; based on the Top 10 player averages in the conference.

Fayetteville State and Bowie State load the team with four and three players, respectively. Elizabeth City State, Fayetteville State and Livingstone College also earned spots on the squad.
