Shaw Star Baseball Player Seriously Injured in Car Accident
Drunk Driver Killed at the Scene

Raleigh, NC - (May 7, 2009) Edgar Huff (SR/5'9/200/Hubert, NC) a member of the Shaw University Baseball team was seriously injured in a two-car accident with a drunken driver that left the drunken driver dead at the scene on the outskirts of Greenville, NC last night.  Alone in his car, Edgar sustained serious injuries but is a miracle of God's grace.  He was admitted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.

Scheduled to graduate on Saturday, May 9th with the Class of 2009, Edgar is a star on the diamond and an outstanding scholar-athlete boasting a 3.6 GPA.  He is a kind-hearted gentleman and one of Shaw's brightest stars. 

Bobby Sanders, Head Coach stated, "We are grateful that Edgar's life was spared.  He is an incredible young man and has been a tremendous asset to our Baseball program.  He is in our prayers for a full recovery."
