Saint Augustine’s College Ranked 10th In NCBWA Atlantic Region Baseball Poll

March 28, 2011

Saint Augustine’s College is ranked 10th in the latest Atlantic Region baseball poll, which was released Monday by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).

The Falcons received 28 votes including one first-place vote to enter this week’s rankings after being unranked last week. They enter Tuesday’s CIAA doubleheader against Winston-Salem State in Cary, N.C., with a 28-13 record including a league-leading 18-2 mark.

A sweep of WSSU would give the Falcons 30 wins for the second straight season. They are the defending CIAA champions.

The Falcons are the only CIAA team ranked this week. Both Winston-Salem State and Chowan are listed under the receiving votes category.
