Chowan's Bagbey and Morris sweep Black College Baseball Weekly Awards

Pikesville, MD – Black College Baseball has announced teammates Justin Bagbey and John Morris of Chowan University as BCB Player and BCB Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 10. 

Bagbey had a colossal week at the plate. In eight games, Bagbey went 10 for 25 that came to a .400 average.  This included 10 runs scored, 10 walks, 15 rbis, one double and three homeruns. Bagbey had an on-base percentage of .571 and a slugging percentage of .741.  Bagbey was perfect on the basepaths going 2 for 2 while helping his team maintain a 9 game win streak.  Chowan is now 25-14 overall and 21-3 in the conference. 

BCB Pitcher of the John Morris threw a no-hitter against St. Paul’s College on April 7. Morris (3-0) struck out nine Tigers' batters, walked none, and did not allow a hit in 7.0 innings pitched in game one of a doubleheader.
