SPC’s Shaun Gutierrez Receives National Honor

D2Football.com has given honorable mention honors to Shaun Gutierrez for the week ending on September 24th. Gutierrez converted 2 field goals from 25 and 46 yards en route to a 27-7 victory over Johnson C. Smith University. Additionally, his 5 punts would average 42.9 yards in the contest. This would be the Tiger’s first CIAA victory of the season, lifting SPC’s overall record to 2-3. Gutierrez, a native of Oakland Park, FL, is the first Saint Paul's football player to receive this honor. He is entering his second year as a student as Saint Paul’s College, where he is a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
