Three CIAA Teams Rank in NCAA Southeast Region Top 12: Two Hold Up Top Four

Hampton, VA... Three Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association teams rank in the Southeast Region's Top 12 this week. North Carolina Central University fills the #1 spot after their nail-biting CIAA Championship win against Elizabeth City State University. The Eagles have received a bye this week in the NCAA Division II playoffs and will host the winner of the ECSU vs Delta State competition on November 25.
After a tough loss to NCCU in the CIAA Championship Game, ECSU takes the #4 position and will host this weekend against 5th ranked Delta State. The game is slated for November 18 at Roebuck Stadium.
Virginia Union rounds out the Southeast region at #12. The Panthers went head-to-head with ECSU for the Eastern Division title, but finished second to the Mighty Vikings.
