Bowie State's Queen Named To Daktronics First Team

Bowie State University's Nathaniel Queen has been selected as a Daktronics All-Southeast Region First Team member. Queen, led the conference (CIAA) in rushing yards 1,212 yards and scored eight touchdowns.
The highlight of Queen's season occurred October 28th against Virginia Union University. In that game, the senior running back from Seat Pleasant, MD (Fairmont Heights HS), rushed for 213 yards, setting a new BSU single game record. Queen, the top vote getter at his position, also moved up to #3 on Bowie State's All-Time Rushing Yards List with 1,760 Career Rushing Yards.
Other accolades include All-CIAA First Team and CIAA Offensive Back of the Week (11/4/06).
Queen moves on to the national All-American ballot which will be released December 13th. The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition.
