Vikings Riding Three-Game Win Streak; Atop CIAA East after Win Over #20 Virginia Union Panthers

CHICAGO, IL - The Elizabeth City State University Vikings have been
named CollegeSports.Com Division II National Team of the Week as
announced yesterday afternoon.
After an 0-4 start, the Vikings have reeled off three straight
wins, including a 23-14 win over #20 Virginia Union University on
October 13th in Richmond, VA. Brandon Fields and Derrick Downey
were named CIAA Offensive and Defensive Back of the Week,
respectively while Waverly Tillar was named the CIAA Coach of the
Week. ECSU is currently sporting a 3-1 record in the CIAA and sit
atop the CIAA Eastern Division heading into Saturday's Homecoming
matchup with cross division opponent Livingstone College. Game time
is slated for 1:30pm at Roebuck Stadium in Elizabeth City.
