VUU's Jones Named 2007 CIAA Football Coach of the Year

CHARLOTTE, NC - Virginia Union head football coach Arrington Jones, III has been named the 2007 CIAA Coach of the Year as announced at the CIAA Championship football banquet. The award was voted on by the CIAA Football Coaches Association.
Jones is in his fourth season as head coach of the Panthers and has
compiled a career record of 21-19. This season he has led the
Panthers to a 9-1 record, the best finish of any VUU football team
since 1990. The Panthers are the 2007 CIAA Eastern Division
Champions and will compete for the conference championship on
Saturday, November 10, 2007 in Charlotte, NC at American Legion
Memorial Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:05 PM.
