Virginia Union's offensive line allowed the Panthers to

the ground, just 10 yards shy of the school record.

three TD's gave the junior seven in the past two games.
Defensive Lineman of the Week:
Greg Moore, SR., DE, ECSU, 6-4, 230, Wallace, NC
In Saturday's 21-10 win over Fayetteville State University in
Fayetteville, NC, Moore forced a fumble in the Broncos' end zone
that was recovered for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to
kill the chance of a late rally by the home team. Other than the
game saving forced fumble, Moore finished with 6 tackles (2 solo, 4
assisted), intercepted a pass which he returned for 6 yards, had 2
sacks for a loss of 14 yards and a quarterback hurry.

Specialty Player of the Week:
Daniel Mendez, SO, Punter/Kicker, ECSU, 5-11, 190, Riverside,
CA
Mendez's career long of 63 yards came at the perfect time in the
Vikings 21-10 win over Fayetteville State Saturday. Late in the
fourth quarter the 63-yard punt pinned FSU on their own 4-yard line
which led to a fumble recovery and score in the end zone on the
very next play to secure the win for the Vikings. Mendez totaled 4
punts for 207 yards (avg of 41.4) including two landing inside the
20 yard line. He went 3-for-3 in extra point attempts and amassed
225 kickoff yards on 4 kickoffs for an average of 56.2 yards per
kickoff.
