Hampton's Three TD Performance first for VSU in 48 years

Virginia State University's freshman running back rushed for three touchdowns in VSU's 43-16 win over Johnson C. Smith University on Sunday in Rogers Stadium in Ettrick, Va.

Hampton's performance was the first time a Trojan has scored three or more touchdowns since VSU's Willie Holland set a school-record with four touchdowns against Howard University in 1961.

The three touchdowns were the first of Hampton's collegiate career.
