game winner for the BSU Bulldogs. Gagne was also perfect of PAT
kicks, converting both attempts.
Coach of the Week: Darrell Asberry, Shaw
Comments: Asberry earned his first win as a
head coach over a Division I opponent by keeping the normally high
flying Bears focused on defense and ball control in order to
overcome the swamp-like conditions on the field. Asberry has
also managed the Bears - who had the fifth most penalties in the
nation last year - to lessen the penalties. The Bears committed
four fewer penalties for 15 fewer yards than Bethune-Cookman.
