Offensive Lineman of the Week: Paul Murphy, Fayetteville State

Comments: The Broncos mustered up 483
offensive yards. With 295 rushing yards, two running backs finished
with 149 and 187 yards each. FSU also finished with 188 passing
yards.
Receiver of the Week: Robert Holland,
Chowan

Hometown: Newport News, VA
Comments: Robert Holland broke three CU
program records in a 53-20 loss to Shaw. Holland collected 18
passes (new single game record) for 221 yards (new single game
record) putting him at 68 season receptions (new single season
record).
Offensive Back of the Week: CJ Westler,
Chowan

Comments: Facing the pressure from the
Bears' defense, CJ Westler completed 32 passes out of 58 attempts
for 361 yards and two touchdowns. Most of his yardage came outside
of the box while scrambling from Shaw's pressure. Westler went over
the 2,000 yard mark in the game, busting the single season passing
record he set a year ago (2,307).

Comments: Crump played his second straight
outstanding game with one fumble recovery for a touchdown, 9
tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. With the offense
struggling early, Crump scored on a key 7-yard fumble return in the
third quarter to put the Falcons ahead 17-0 in a 31-7 win over
Livingstone. He ended the run by diving over a Blue Bear player
across the goal line. This was his second consecutive multi-sack
game.
Linebacker of the Week: Mark Hall, Saint

Comments: Hall led the Falcons with 10
tackles; which tied for most in the game in a 31-7 win over
Livingstone. Hall also had two tackles for loss, one sack and one
fumble recovery.
Defensive Back of the Week: Quintez Smith,
Shaw

Comments: Smith returned one fumble recovery
37 yards for a touchdown and one 74-yard interception for a
touchdown in Shaw's 53-20 win over Chowan. He also had six solo
tackles, four assists and broke up one pass on the night.
Rookie of the Week: Tony Goodman,

Comments: Tony Goodman, starting in just his
third game this season, collected 3 solo tackles and 4 assisted
tackles. The freshman also returned two punts for 41 yards and two
kickoffs for 71 yards, including a 42-yard return that set up a CUI
touchdown in the third quarter.
Specialty Player of the Week: Tyrone Bolden, Shaw

Comments: Bolden blocked two punts that were
converted into 14 points in Shaw's 53-20 win over Chowan Saturday
night. After the blocked punts, the Bears were on the Chowan nine
and the Chowan 30, giving the Bears outstanding field position and
allowing them to score 14 points on a total of three offensive
plays.
Coach of the Week: Damon Wilson, Bowie State
Comments: Wilson improved his Bulldogs to a 5-0 record in the conference and moved Bowie State one step closer to the Eastern Division crown.
