BSU's Budd named HSRN Division II Player of the Week

(Hartly, DE) Bowie State’s Clifton Budd (Silver Spring, MD, Sherwood) is the week five winner of the Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) National Division II Player of the Week award.  Budd completed 32 of 51 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns. His 32 completions and 355 yards set two school records. He also led the Bulldogs on the ground with 54 yards on 11 carries, finishing the game with 409 total offensive yards in the Bulldogs thrilling 28-27 victory over Virginia Union.

Each week during the season, HSRN’s staff will select the top performances from all HBCU action and give the fans across the country a chance to vote for the Player of the Week. HSRN developed the fan poll to get all HBCU alumni, students and fans involved with the national process and to also give everyone a chance to consistently keep up with the individual performances around the country.
