Defensive Lineman Moves on For All-American
Consideration

WEST CHESTER, PA- The post season awards continue to accumulate
for Elizabeth City State University’s Malcolm Jenkins as he
was named to the All Super Region 1 First Team Wednesday
morning.
The Florence, NJ native was the top vote getter at the defensive
lineman position.
Jenkins, who last month completed his football career at ECSU, was
the CIAA’s Defensive Player of the Year and is one of eight
student-athletes in the country in contention for the Gene Upshaw
Award as the top lineman in NCAA Division II.
As a member of the All Super Region First team, Jenkins will now
be placed on the national ballot for Daktronic All-American
consideration. The voting begins tomorrow and will close on
December 13th with the All-American Team being announced December
14th.
