JENKINS NAMED TO DAKTRONICS ALL-AMERICAN FIRST TEAM
 
CIAA’s Top Defensive Player Adds Another Post Season Honor

BROOKINGS, SD- Elizabeth City State University’s Malcolm Jenkins had added another post-season recognition to his résumé’ as he was named to the 2010 Daktronics All-American First Team Tuesday afternoon.

Jenkins becomes the first Daktronics All-American honoree since former ECSU standout defensive back Howard Williams garnered First Team honors in 2004.
 
Jenkins finished the season ranked second in NCAA Division II in sacks and as the CIAA’s leader in both sacks and tackles for loss was named the Defensive Player of the Year. A finalist for the 2010 Gene Upshaw Award, Jenkins will head to play the 2011 Cactus Bowl, the top Division II All-Star game in the country, on January 7 in Kingsville, Texas.
