100% Wrong Club Honors Shaw’s Darrell Asberry
Atlanta Group to Give Asberry Their CIAA Coach of the Year Award

(ATLANTA, GA)- Shaw Head Football Coach Darrell Asberry has been named CIAA Coach of the Year by the 100% Wrong Club of Atlanta and will be presented the award at their annual dinner on February 5. 

Asberry led the Bears to a 9-3 record, including a 7-0 run in the CIAA and the CIAA Football Championship.  The Bears advanced to the NCAA Playoffs, but were knocked out in the first round by Shepherd. 

In Asberry’s five years as Head Coach, the Bears have amassed a 36-19 record and won three CIAA Championships. Each year, the 100% Wrong Club honors athletes and coaches from the four HBCU Conferences (CIAA, SIAC, MEAC and SWAC) as well as the top athletes from the University of Georgia.  

This year’s banquet will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel in Atlanta.
