OFFENSIVE LINEMAN- Joshua Stanley, Saint Paul’s
College

Comments: Stanley helped the Tigers account for 126 passing
yards in its competition versus UNC-Pembroke, Saturday.
RECEIVER- Tehvyn Brantley, Winston-Salem State
University
Position: WR Height: 5-8 Weight: 175
Class: Fr. Hometown: Durham, NC
Comments: Brantley, a true freshman, led the Rams in their win over
Division I-FCS opponent and rival North Carolina Central with six
catches for 166 yards and two touchdowns including- the
game-winning 31-yard score with less than two minutes to play as
the Rams improved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 versus Division I
opponents.
OFFENSIVE BACK- Kameron Smith, Winston-Salem State
University

Comments: Smith, a rookie appearing in his second-ever
collegiate game, led the Rams to a come-from-behind victory over
North Carolina Central. He completed 18 of 29 passes with no
interceptions for 419 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed 10
times for 39 yards; an average of 2.3 yards per carry.
DEFENSIVE LINEMAN- Jarvis Stokes, Saint Paul’s
College

Comments: Stokes finished the game with six tackles, one
sack, and two tackles for loss.
LINEBACKER- Alton Keaton, Winston-Salem State
University
Position: LB Height: 5-8 Weight:
180 Class: r-Jr Hometown: Fayetteville,

Comments: Keaton, a rover (linebacker) for the Rams recorded
a team-leading 11 tackles (three solo, eight assisted) including .5
tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one pass defended in the
Rams' win over NCCU.
DEFENSIVE BACK- Ian White, Virginia State
University

Comments: White led VSU with 13 tackles (12 solo, 1
assisted), one tackle for loss and a pass breakup in the
Trojans’ win against West Virginia State.

Comments: Whittington averaged 41.3 yards on six punts
including a blast that went for 57 yards in the first quarter that
pinned New Haven deep in its own territory. He routinely changed
field position and dealt New Haven a long field.
COACH- Connell Maynor, Winston-Salem State
University
Comments: Maynor has led the Rams to a 3-0 record with his
34-27 win over NCCU in his first season as a collegiate head coach.
Maynor and the Rams are a perfect 3-0 for the first time since
1991. WSSU has scored more points in three games in 2010 than they
did in all of the 2009 season.
