Livingstone's Terry Anderson Named D2Football.com Special Teams Player of the Week

LIBERTY, MO – Livingstone freshman wide receiver and kick return specialist Terry Anderson has been named the D2football.com Special Teams Player of the Week.

Anderson, a native of Newark, NJ, earned the honor based on his two kick returns for touchdowns Saturday in the Blue Bears’ victory over Virginia University of Lynchburg.

Early in the second quarter Anderson responded to the Dragons’ first score with a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown to tie the game at 7-7.  Anderson then took the opening kickoff of the second half back 91 yards for a touchdown, giving the Blue Bears a 21-13 lead.

Earlier this week Anderson was also named the CIAA Rookie of the Week and Special Teams Player of the Week.

The Blue Bears will hit the field again on Saturday when they face Shaw University in Durham, NC at Durham County Stadium.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
