Comments: Mosely helped block and open holes
for the Golden Bulls to produce a season-high 471 yards of total
offense. Tailback Dedrick Anderson (104 yards) and quarterback
Keahn Wallace (338 yards) each achieved season-high totals in part
to Mosely's play.

Comments: Jones caught four passes for 120
yards and one touchdown in a 38-22 victory over Bowie State. His
31-yard reception on the first play of the game and 30-yard
touchdown grab on the second play of the game set the tone for the
Falcons' 29-0 halftime lead.

Comments: Doug Cook returned from an injury
and played injured in the 48-44 road loss to Livingstone. The
sophomore quarterback had a career day in terms of passes attempted
(70), completion yards (463) and touchdowns (5). Cook was 39-of-70
for 463 yards and five touchdowns in the loss.

Comments: Hanson contributed 195 of Chowan's
rushing yards in win against Shaw and he also scored three
touchdowns in the victory.

Comments: In the 48-44 win over Lincoln
University (PA), Edwards played his best game of the season,
assisting the Blue Bears defense with 11 tackles, two sacks for 20
yards, three tackles for a loss of 21 yards, one forced fumble, and
one fumble recovery for a 22 yard return, a blocked extra point
attempt, and two quarterback hurries.

Comments: Williams set new career-highs in
tackles, sacks, tackles for loss and forced fumbles during
Fayetteville State's 20-13 loss against their CIAA Opener,
Elizabeth City State. Williams tallied 16 tackles, 11 solo and five
assisted, three sacks for a total of 21 yards, 5.5 tackles for loss
for 27 yards and one forced fumble. He has now recorded 10 or more
tackles in back-to-back games along with four sacks.

Comments: Moss had a strong defensive
presence against the Lincoln (PA) Lions’ offense. Moss
recorded 13 tackles, and one forced fumble.
ROOKIE

Hometown: Upper Marlboro, MD
Comments: Powell threw for a total of 256
yards (21-36) and four passing touchdowns; he also rushed in for a
touchdown and finished with 68 rushing yards in the 48-44 win over
Lincoln University (PA). Powell currently leads the CIAA in
passing touchdowns with a total of 12. Powell is also ranked
10th in the NCAA Div. II for total offense with 1330
yards.

Comments: Laughinghouse scored on a 93-yard
kickoff return for the Falcons to take momentum away from Bowie
State after the Bulldogs pulled within 29-14 in the fourth quarter
of a 38-22 St. Aug win. He had 180 yards in kick returns and
finished with 261 total yards. Laughinghouse also had a 50-yard
kickoff return.
COACH

Comments: Costa guided the Falcons to a
masterful performance in a 38-22 victory over Bowie State in the
CIAA Game of the Week. The Falcons dominated from the outset in
opening a 29-0 halftime lead. The Falcons gave the Bulldogs their
first loss of the season.
General Notes of Interest:
- Fayetteville State dropped its 2012 CIAA opener to Elizabeth City State 20-13 on Sept. 22, and will hit the road next weekend for the first time in conference play at Chowan.
- The 44 points Lincoln scored was the most since the team scored 72 in a win over Cheyney in 1946.
- St. Aug defeated Bowie State for the first time in the season series.
