WSSU's 58-0 Homecoming blowout win on Saturday.

Comments: In the Vikings' 47-21 Homecoming
win over Chowan, Langston had a career day and the best outing by a
wide receiver since 2008. He finished the day with five receptions
for 241 yards and three touchdowns. His touchdown catches went for
85 yards, 78 yards and 22 yard as the Viking seized first place in
the CIAA North.

Comments: Kameron Smith continued his red hot
passing, finishing the afternoon going 16 of 24 for 276 yards and
seven touchdowns in WSSU's 58-0 Homecoming blowout win on Saturday.
The seven touchdown passes set a new single game mark for
Winston-Salem State University.

Comments: Donnie Owens continues to shine
and be a workhorse for the WSSU defensive unit, as he finished with
eight tackles, one tackle for a loss and one quarterback hurry in
WSSU's 58-0 Homecoming blowout win on Saturday.

Comments: Set a new career-high in rushing yards for
the second straight week with 220 yards and two touchdowns on 37
carries in FSU’s 34-28 triple-overtime loss to St.
Augustine’s University. His two touchdowns also tied a
career-high. He averaged 5.9 yards per carry and had a long rush of
30 yards and caught one pass for eight yards. His 220 yards rushing
fell just 45 yards shy of tying the all-time single-game rushing
record set back during the 1993 season.

Comments: Williams had his best game in a
Viking uniform in Saturday's 47-21 Homecoming win over Chowan. He
led the team with a game high 13 tackles (eight solo, five
assisted) including a sack for a loss of six yards, two forced
fumbles and two quarterback hurries.

Comments: In Saturday's win over the Hawks,
Rios finished with nine tackles (eight solo, one assisted)
including two tackles for a loss of nine yards, a forced fumble, a
fumble recovery and a pass breakup. He gave the Vikings the lead
for good in the first quarter of their 47-21 win over Chowan with a
54 yard fumble returned for a touchdown.

Comments: Davenport scored on a one-yard run
in a 34-28 3 OT win over Fayetteville State. The touchdown was his
ninth of the season which ties him for third in the
conference.

Comments: Darnell Evans continues to dazzle
for the Bears. He led Shaw with 125 all purpose yards in their loss
to Johnson C. Smith Saturday afternoon. His critical play was a
fourth-quarter kickoff return which he took for 90 yards and a
touchdown. It was his second touchdown of the day - he also
intercepted a pass and returned it for 35 yards for a
touchdown.
COACH
Name: Connell Maynor

Comments: WSSU head coach Connell Maynor,
guided his #2 ranked Rams to a 58-0 win over Livingstone College on
Homecoming 2012. The Rams exploded for 577 yards of offense, while
holding the Blue Bears to just 182 on the afternoon.
General Notes of Interest:
- St. Aug is 2-0 in homecoming games on campus at the George Williams Athletic Complex.
- Dedrick Anderson eclipsed his previous single game rushing high of 167 yards with a 185 yard rushing performance against Shaw.
- James Stallons set the Shaw season record for passing yardage. Through eight games this season, he has 2,277 yards. The previous record, set in 2005, was 2,105 yards by Jermonty Kimbrough.
- Gary Langston's 241 receiving yards was the most for a Viking in a game since 2008 when Dexter Manley had 203 yard versus Chowan University (August 30th)
- Kameron Smith's seven touchdown passes set a new single game
mark for Winston-Salem State University.
