Falcons Place Second At WSSU Golf

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Saint Augustine’s College shot a
two-day score of 684 to finish second Sunday morning (March 22) at
the WSSU Golf Invitational hosted by Winston-Salem State University
at Winston Lake Golf Course.
Aaron Oliver (Senior/Pittsburgh, Pa.) of the Falcons was third
individually after shooting a two-day total of 163. He was the
leader after the first day with a 78.
Cory Landrum-Smith (Junior/Columbus, Ohio) and Julius Wells
(Senior/Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Falcons both tied for seventh
after shooting 174. Derek Johnson (Freshman/Chesterfield, Va.) tied
for 10th after shooting 177.
North Carolina Central University won the team title with a score
of 674. Josue Garza of NCCU was the individual winner with a 155
score and Braden Cox of NCCU was second with a 158 score.
Winston Lake Golf Course is a par 71, 6,214-yard course.
