Trojans Secure Fourth Place at Falcon Spring Invitational

Ettrick, VA – The Virginia State University's golf team finished in fourth place at the Falcon Spring Invitational hosted by St. Augustine's University.

TEAMS | Elizabeth City State University, St. Augustine's, Fayetteville State University and Virginia State University.   

Virginia State finished the Falcon Spring Invitational in fourth place recording a team score of 355. St. Augustine's combined for a team score of 312 secured a first place finish while Elizabeth City State and Fayetteville State University tied for a second place finish with a 331 team total. 

Isaiah Belton led the Trojans, with a tied 8th place score of 82 while Darian Exum shot a 87 to tie for the 11th place spot. Darian Exum finished 14th with a score of 88 while Jared Jones finished with a tied 15th spot after he shot 95. Rounding out the scoring for Virginia State was Donald Hamilton  who recorded a 110 and secured the 17th spot.
 
The Trojans will return to action on April 19-20 as they participate in the 2018 CIAA Men's Golf Championship being hosted by Virginia Union University and Richmond Region Tourism at The Club at Viniterra in New Kent, Va. The Club at Viniterra is located at 8647 Angel's Share Dr, New Kent, VA 23124.
