Former VUU Panthers join Richmond pro team

Five former Virginia Union University men's basketball players
have joined the Richmond Generals, the newest expansion team of the
American Basketball Association.
Former Panthers Terry Davis, Lantrice Green, Luqman Jaaber, Robert
Johnson and Antwan Walton are all listed among the Generals'
roster, listed at http://www.richmondgenerals.com.
Jaaber, Green and Walton were members of the 2004-05 VUU squad
which captured the NCAA Division II national championship last
season.
Davis, currently an assistant coach for VUU, played 12 seasons in
the National Basketball Association. He was named to the Division
II All-American team while playing at VUU.
Robert Johnson helped lead VUU to the 1998 Elite Eight. While at
VUU, Johnson was named to the All-CIAA team.
The Generals open their home season on November 16 against the
Baltimore Pearls at 7 p.m. in the Siegel Center.
