VUU Men's Basketball Team to travel to Los Angeles

The Virginia Union University men's basketball team, the defending Division II National Champions, will travel to Los Angeles, Cal., in December to play in the inaugural Black College Hoops Classic, to be held December 27-29 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, home of the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association.

In addition to VUU, Bowie State, Johnson C. Smith, Morehouse, Lincoln (Mo.), Wilberforce, Xavier (La.) and Wiley universities will also compete in the classic.

VUU's first game will be at 10:30 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, December 27 against Lincoln (Mo.). It will be the first time VUU has played in California. VUU will meet either Johnson C. Smith or Wilberforce on Wednesday, December 28 in the second round of the classic.

Tickets can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location, and special rates are available for students, alumni and senior citizens.
