VUU Men's Basketball Team to Receive National Championship Rings Wednesday

Virginia Union University men's basketball team, which captured its third national championship this past March, will receive the national championship rings and jackets on Wednesday, August 24, at 6 p.m. in the Henderson Center on the VUU campus.

VUU alumni and NBA All-Star Ben Wallace will be on hand for the banquet, as well as CIAA Commissioner Leon Kerry and VUU President Dr. Belinda C. Anderson.

WRIC-TV in Richmond will broadcast live reports from the event during their 6 p.m. newscast.

The banquet is sold out, with 120 people expected to attend.
