Fitzgerald, the conference’s leading scorer, averaged 29.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals this week as Saint Augustine’s posted wins over the University of District of Columbia and Columbia Union. In the Falcons’ 124-62 rout of Columbia Union, Fitzgerald poured in a game-high 35 points and added 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals.

Royal contributed 16 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in Saint Paul’s 97-89 overtime win over Chowan College.

Coach of the Week
Edward “Buck” Joyner-Saint Paul’s College
After going winless last season, Coach Joyner and the much improved Tigers are 3-1 and on a three-game winning streak. Saint Paul’s avenged their only loss of the season with a 97-89 overtime win over Chowan on Saturday. The Braves had defeated the Tigers 85-68 on November 15.
