Steve Joyner, Sr.,          Johnson C. Smith University 
Coach Joyner and his squad bounced back this week with a huge 80-50 victory over Bluefield State. Fourteen players received minutes against BSC.  Ten players scored and four scored double figures.

Newcomer of the Week - Notes of Interest

This is Neely's first season at JCSU after transferring from NC A&T. The Lady Golden Bulls were 2-0 this week with wins over Chowan and Bluefield State. In her performance against Bluefield State, Neely produced her first double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds; along with three steals and two blocks. 

 

Coach of the Week
Vanessa Taylor, Johnson C. Smith University 
The Lady Golden Bulls are currently 8-1 overall, 2-1 in the CIAA, and ranked 18th nationally in the NCAA Division II Coaches' poll. Coach Taylor bounced back from her lone loss of the season with road wins over Chowan and Bluefield State. JCSU defeated Bluefield State by their largest margin of victory this season (74-48).
