Rookie of the Week - Notes of Interest
Manurs had a solid week for the Blue Bears.  She was key coming off the bench to help the Blue Bears in pressure situations.  Manurs had a strong outing in a loss against Fayetteville State, finishing with 16 points and five steals.

Newcomer of the Week - Notes of Interest
In her first two games back from injury, Gill scored in double figures against both Saint Paul's and Virginia State.

 

Coach of the Week
James Hill, Virginia State University 
Coach Hill guided the Lady Trojans to a 61-58 upset of 25th ranked Bowie State and a 71-64 win over Elizabeth City State.

Player of the Week - Notes of Interest
Jordan led the Falcons to a 3-0 record this week with wins over archrival Shaw, Chowan and Fayetteville State. His 19 points against Chowan were key in contests between the two top teams in the CIAA. He also dropped 16 points against Fayetteville State on Saturday.

In his first game back from injury, Sharpless led all scorers in ECSU's first divisional win over Saint Paul's. He also had 17 points off the bench versus Virginia State.

Newcomer of the Week - Notes of Interest:
Goldsmith had 20 points and 10 rebounds against Virginia State. He averaged 12.3 points in three games this week.

 

Coach of the Week
Lonnie Blow, Jr., Saint Augustine's College
Blow guided the Falcons to a 3-0 record this week including blowout wins over Western Division foes Shaw (67-48), Chowan (74-50) and Fayetteville State (73-60). The average margin of victory was 17.7 points. The Falcons, who have the CIAA's best league (12-2) and overall record (18-3), have won nine straight games. Ranked sixth in the Atlantic Region, the Falcons lead the Western Division (4-0) and are two games away from a 20-win season for the first time since 1997.
