Livingstone's Darius Cox Selected to Play in the HBC All-Star Classic

SALISBURY, NC – Livingstone men’s basketball senior Darius Cox has been selected to participate in the Eighth Annual Historic Black College All-Star Classic held April 23, 2011 in Columbus, GA.

The Historic Black College All-Star Game features the top 24 basketball players from historic black colleges and universities from across the United States.  The Classic will be played at the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, GA.

Cox is the first Livingstone player to be selected to participate in this event.  Cox was a First Team All-CIAA selection and helped lead the Blue Bears to their first-ever appearance in the CIAA Championship Game where he was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Cox led the Blue Bears in both scoring and rebounding in 2010-2011.  Cox averaged 15.2 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season.
