Newcomer of the Week - Notes of Interest
Banner, a transfer from UNC Greensboro, was brilliant filling in for FSU's top two point guards who were out due to injury. Filling that role, Banner effectively ran the Lady Broncos' offense in an 87-66 win over Coker. Banner scored all 13 of her points in the second half, including 11 points in a 17-2 run to start the second period that put the game out of reach. Banner nearly had a triple-double, adding nine rebounds -- second most on the team -- and a game-high eight assists while leading all players with four steals.
