CIAA Men’s And Women’s Tennis Championships Postponed Due To Rain

PETERSBURG, VA - Rain has forced the postponement of play from the 2006 CIAA Men’s And Women’s Tennis Championships from the campus of Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA on Friday afternoon. Championship tournament directors will re-convene at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning with play slated to begin at 9:00 AM.
Torrential rain in the afternoon in the Petersburg, VA area has forced the stoppage of play that saw the CIAA Tennis Championships halted with the men’s first, second and third singles matches in-progress.
Singles matches are slated to return to action on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, weather permitting. The Rams will return to the court for their scheduled matches immediately following the conclusion of the matches in-progress that were rained out.
