The 2012 CIAA Spring Sports Championships is partnering with the Metro Richmond Tennis Club, based in Richmond, Virginia, to bring QuickStart tennis to youth from the local Boys and Girls Clubs in the Hopewell/Petersburg area.

This Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association event will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Virginia State University, host site of this year’s CIAA Spring Sports Championships. Youth will begin arriving at 8:00 a.m. and the QuickStart tennis clinic will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

QuickStart tennis is the new USTA format of tennis for youth 10 and under, as well as for beginners. Tennis equipment and courts are tailored to a child’s size and age so that they can develop skills and have fun right from the start. MRTC is a non-profit Richmond tennis club that serves, promotes and grows the game of tennis for youth and adults.
