BSU Lady Bulldogs improve to 6-0

(FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA -- March 19, 2007)  Bowie State University's Lady Bulldogs improved its season record to 6-0 (6-0 in the CIAA) after pummeling Fayetteville State's Lady Broncos 12-0 and 23-1.  The loss drops the Fayetteville State record to 0-12 overall and 0-2 in the CIAA.
 
Erin Gray led Bowie State with three hits and Tricia Corbin, Heather Enders and Virginia Hockey added two hits each in game one.  BSU junior Jillian Willey allowed just two hits, struck out three in the first game and picked up her second win of the year.
 
The Lady Bulldogs roughed up Fayetteville State pitching in the second game, pounding out 12 hits with sophomore Tiffany Toney accounting for five of those hits.  Fayetteville State managed only two hits in the second game and committed seven errors.  Bowie State's Enders picked up her third pitching victory of the season and struck out four.
 
Bowie State will conclude their Carolina road trip with a major conference matchup against North Carolina Central - Thursday (3/22) at 3:00 p.m.  The Lady Bulldogs will play their first home game of the season - Friday (3/23) against Pace University at 12 noon.
