January 12, 2011
Saint Augustine’s College is in a familiar spot in the
preseason Division II indoor track and field rankings released
Tuesday by U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches
Association.
The Falcons head the men’s rankings with 216.93 points.
Lincoln (Mo.) is second with 151.97 points and Ashland is third
with 141.10 points.
The No. 1 ranking is the latest in a long list of accomplishments
for the Falcons, who have claimed 31 NCAA D-II national
championships under legendary head coach George Williams including
the 2010 outdoor men’s title. The Falcons were the 2010
indoor men’s runner-ups.
The Falcons have already competed in two indoor meets this season.
The NCAA indoor championships will be held March 11-12 in
Albuquerque, N.M.
