EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Andre Wilkinson and Henry
Alston showed signicant improvements on Saturday at the 11th Annual
DeSchrivers Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg.
Wilkinson's time of 22.67 seconds blastied is old previous season
best of 22.97 seconds, winning his heat and placing second
overall.
His success was a part of the team's total rejuvenation. In the 800
meters, Alston was more than two seconds quicker than his previous
PR with a 2:03.67, good for 10th.
There were other significant improvements, particularly in the 200
alongside Wilkinson. Akeem Robinson (23.49 seconds) and Jordan
Asbury (24.08 seconds) improved by .44 and .21 seconds,
respectively.
Although the mark was not a PR, Vincent Thomas notched a notable
finish with by placing fourth in the 800-meters, crossing the line
in 1:59.91.
Cameron Malcolm landed Lincoln's first long jump on the season,
soaring 20 feet, 1.5 inches.
