Saint Augustine’s College Remains Atop D-II Indoor

Saint Augustine's College maintained its grip on the No. 1 spot in
the latest NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track and Field Rankings
released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country
Coaches Association.
The Falcons, who are the 2010 NCAA D-II outdoor champions, are
ranked first for the second consecutive week with 165.92 points.
Lincoln (Mo.) is right behind in second place with 164.80 points
and Abilene Christian is third with 131.51.
The Falcons are also the top men's team in the Atlantic Region with
389.06 points. Shippensburg is second with 305.58 points and Lock
Haven is third with 191.49 points.
In the women's national standings, Grand Valley State is first with
294.06 points. Ashland is second with 160.81 points and
Nebraska-Omaha is third with 154.59 points. Saint Augustine's
College is 12th with 52.79 points. In the Atlantic Region, the Lady
Falcons are fifth.
The Falcons and Lady Falcons will defend their conference titles in
the CIAA Championships this weekend in Hampton, Virginia. The meet
starts Saturday and concludes Sunday at the Boo Williams
Sportsplex.
