Sixteen From Saint Augustine’s College Earn All-Region Indoor Track Honors

Sixteen student-athletes from Saint Augustine's College earned All-Region honors for the 2011 NCAA indoor track and field season. The honorees were selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Ten Falcons were chosen in the men's division. They are Antonio Abney (Palmyra, N.J.), Jason Boyd (Waycross, Ga.), Christopher Copeland (Suffolk,  Va.), Orolando Duffus (St. Catherine, Jamaica), Josh Edmonds (Jacksonville, Fla.), Kelly Fisher (Tinton Falls, N.J.), Ramon Gittens (St. Thomas, Barbados), Eddie Shelton (Deltona, Fla.), Sean Stuart (Miramir, Fla.) and DeJon Wilkinson (Summerville, S.C.).

Edmonds (60 hurdles, 400, 4x400 relay) and Fisher (60, 200, 4x400 relay) captured honors in three events. Three Falcons were honored in two events including Abney (400, 4x400 relay), Boyd (60 hurdles, 4x400 relay) and Gittens (60, 200).

Six Lady Falcons were picked in the women's division. They are Nicketa Bernard (Westmoreland, Jamaica), Kirsten Bowens (Mahwah, N.J.), Unique Connor (North Las Vegas, Nev.), Sheena Johns (Greenwood, Del.), Andrea Powell (Richmond, Va.) and Kelly Shaw (Winona, Minn.). Powell was a double honoree (high jump, triple jump) as well as Shaw (400, 4x400 relay).
