Virginia Union's Mokra leads nation in service aces

Virginia Union University's Gabriela Mokra, a junior outside hitter from Usti Nad Olici in the Czech Republic, is the new national leader in service aces among Division II college volleyball players.

Mokra leads the nation with an average of 1.34 aces per game Through Sept. 25, Mokra had 63 aces in 47 games.

Junior teammate Porsche Carlisle, from Detroit, Mich., is eighth in the nation with an average of 1.07 aces per game. Carlisle had 49 service aces through 46 games.

As a team, VUU leads the nation with an average of 4.3 service aces per game.
