the Week Celeste Trahan–Elizabeth City State University, 6’2”, SO, Center, Stockton, CA Trahan, the CIAA’s leading scorer and rebounder, averaged 20 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks and two steals through two games this week. Her best performance of the week came in the Lady Vikings’ 79-62 win over Virginia State. In that game, Trahan tallied 21 points, 17 rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Rookie of the Week Nakisha Stewart–North Carolina Central, 6’0”, FR, Forward, Louisburg, NC Stewart led the Lady Eagles with 14 points and nine rebounds in a 45-40 road loss at Saint Augustine’s. Coach of the Week Vanessa Taylor-Johnson C. Smith University Coach Taylor and the Lady Golden Bulls are riding a four-game winning streak after picking up road wins over Saint Paul’s and Fayetteville State this week. |
